I’ve been writing WordPress plugins for more than a year now. Most of what I have programmed I make available for free in the WordPress plugin database. Other work is proprietary and developed specifically for clients. My plugins have been download thousands of times and to date (clients aside) I’ve received over 300 emails asking questions about my plugins.Often I get the standard “Great plugin!”. Usually I at least get a “thanks”. This Black Friday however I received the following email:

I just want to say great plugins. I love the way you think and as soon as I make some money i will send you donations (i’m broke) I wish you all the best and hope all your wants and wishes come true.

Thank you Steve. Your gratitude does not go unappreciated. I don’t care that you don’t have money to donate; just thank you for using my plugins. I am glad they are a help to you. Oh, and I like the way I think as well.
